JR Mercantile is seeking an experienced commercial real estate professional to join our boutique brokerage specializing in mixed-use retail leasing across Calgary’s Beltline, inner-city SW communities, and other high-growth urban markets.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of Calgary’s most interesting retail and mixed-use developments alongside developers, landlords, and growing brands shaping the city’s evolving commercial landscape.

Compensation: Commission-Based — Competitive Splits

Responsibilities

• Represent landlord and tenant clients throughout the leasing process
• Participate in early-stage retail planning and tenant strategy for mixed-use developments
• Identify and pursue prospective tenant and leasing opportunities
• Conduct tours and presentations with prospective tenants
• Build relationships through strategic outreach, networking, and business development
• Source and evaluate commercial development opportunities
• Negotiate lease terms and commercial agreements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with developers, property owners, consultants, and industry professionals

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate experience
• Licensed in commercial real estate in the Province of Alberta
• Valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
