Our Team
About Jeff
Jeff is the owner and Broker of JR Mercantile. He has 20 plus years of commercial real estate advisory experience, focused on inner-city and mixed-use developments. His clients range from institutional landlords to local entrepreneurial developers, high profile restauranteurs to national retailers.
Jeff participates early in the design phase to help ensure the commercial environment is not only readily leasable but workable for both Landlord and Tenant. The end-product is increased value and long-term stability of tenancy.
He started his career with a large international brokerage firm. Jeff spent several years leasing enclosed malls with one of Canada’s largest pension funds. He travelled across Canada with boutique tenant representation firms and has led the leasing initiatives of some of Canada’s most innovative mixed-use developers. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 he was the Co-Star Power Broker Award recipient for retail leasing transactions.
When not working on behalf of his clients, he’s spending quality time with his wife and four kids. He’s always doing something outdoors or battling with his cello.
About Alex
Alex joined the JR Mercantile team in July of 2020. He utilizes an analytical approach to find creative solutions for tenants and landlords, which he gained from studying Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan.
He lived abroad for a year, traveling throughout South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. In addition to creating unique stories, he was able to build lasting relationships with people from different parts of the world making him the people person he is today.
When not in the office you can find him hiking in the Rockies or golfing at many different courses within Calgary and the surrounding areas.
About Andrée
Andrée joined JR Mercantile in October 2023 and fulfils the role of Manager of Operations.
With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, Andrée has spent time living and working abroad in the UAE, Malaysia, and Australia. Since returning to her Albertan roots, she spent time building her career in the luxury resale industry as well as raising her two children.
When not in the office you will find her watching her kids playing sports or spending time with friends and family exploring the rich offerings of Calgary’s outdoor leisure spaces or vibrant restaurant scene.
About Grace
Grace joined the JR Mercantile team as a Marketing Manager in October 2023 and oversees the implementation of social media and other marketing initiatives.
Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Grace is currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Calgary and has a passion for social media and business marketing.
When she’s not studying at the University or working at JR Mercantile, you will find Grace creating video tutorials for game development and internet safety. Grace also enjoys playing the violin, which she has pursued since 2010.
